A question that gets asked all the
time is when will PicturesToExe (PTE) include some
basic sound editing as a part of the basic program.
I am aware that this is on the agenda for the manufacturers
of PTE, but it has to take its place in a priority
queue. One we start working with PTE, most enthusiasts
turn to an external sound editor and when they realize
how easy they are to use, thoughts of sound editorsbuilt
into PTE then don't seem to be that important. Even
if PTE did include some sound editing in the future
I doubt it would be quite as inclusive as a dedicated
external sound editor.
The sound editor that everyone appears
to be using is Audacity, but we have had a number
of emails and questions relating to what is needed
and where to get it. So, in this video we uninstalled
our own version and we take you through the entire
process. We take you to the software on the Internet
and download the software and another vital file
that you will need. We demonstrate how to install
Audacity first and then the lame file to allow the
export of Mp3 files. Everything we do is live, including
the downloading of the two files. The video then
takes you around the controls of Audacity and really
sets you up to start your own sound editing.
